You Can Get Used To It

You were a man who liked to play around,

Never let one woman tie you down.

Then you found yourself in church saying "I do".

But now you know that married relations

Can have all kinds of compensations,

And it's the best thing that's ever happened to you.

You can get used to it.

You can get used to it.

When she's always there to show she cares,

You can get used to it.

You grew up in a run-down shack.

You lived on the wrong side of the tracks

Til a lottery ticket made you a millionaire.

But never look down on where you've been,

'Cause fate can put you right back there again

When all that money just vanishes in thin air.

You can get used to it.

You can get used to it,

This life of ease and all the luxuries,

But don't get used to it.

The days of our lives run out so fast.

Before you know it, you've breathed your last.

And to tell the truth, you haven't always behaved too well.

When you arrive at the Pearly Gates,

Saint Peter may tell you Heaven can wait

And for now you're taking a long time-out in Hell.

You can get used to it.

You can get used to it.

You could complain, but then what would you gain?

You may as well get used to it.

You can get used to it.

You can get used to it.

You'll be there with your friends til the universe ends,

So you better get used to it.
